In this 3-hour introductory seminar you will learn life saving skills to detect and avoid threats, and navigate potentially dangerous situations. Most self-defense seminars are technique based. That means the instructor will show you 12 different techniques on a partner. You'll feel good after the seminar is over, but in a few weeks, you will have forgotten most of the moves. It won't be there for you when your under stressed faced with a threat.
Our approach is different. Because of our professional backgrounds, we look at things through a intelligence and security perspective. The best way to avoid an attack is not to be there in the first place. We'll show you the physical stuff, but our focus will be on how to use your most effective weapon - your brain!

INSTRUCTOR: MARK BOOHER, JD, CPS, is the founder of Rubicon Training Group, an intelligence and security training company serving the military, law enforcement, and the private sector.
Mark is a veteran of the United States Army where he spent 5 years in the intelligence and security field specializing in force protection. He is also a Certified Executive Protection Specialist and has traveled to Israel to study counter-terrorism, security, shooting methods there.
Following his military service, Mark studied law at the University of Arkansas and spent 6 years as a deputy prosecuting attorney. During his time, he prosecuted hundreds of cases involving shootings, batteries, and other violent crimes. His experience has given him a unique insight and perspective into the way violence actually occurs on the street and what it takes to survive a deadly encounters. Mark has trainied hundreds of military, law enforcement, and members from the private sector in security tactics and strategies across the country and is a contributor to The Counter Terrorist magazine.
