TOPIC: Most firearm courses on the market today are based on military and law enforcement training methods of shooting. While these courses have value, they are woefully inadequateto prepare the average citizen for a deadly encounter on the street.
That’s because a majority of threats dynamics that military or law enforcement members face are different than those experienced by the private individual. Unfortunately, much of the training available today has ignored this, until now.

INSTRUCTOR: MARK BOOHER, JD, CPS, is the Senior Instructor for Barritus (formerly Rubicon Training Group), an intelligence and security training company serving the military, law enforcement, and the private sector.
Mark is a veteran of the United States Army where he conducted force protection operations as a member of NATO's Allied Rapid Reaction Corps. He has deployed and worked with every branch of US Military, the Royal British Forces, and the French Foreign Legion. Mark is a Certified Executive Protection Specialist and has trained in Israeli counter-terrorism and security methods in the West Bank.
Following his military service, Mark studied law at the University of Arkansas and spent 6 years as a deputy prosecuting attorney. During his time, he prosecuted hundreds of cases involving shootings, batteries, and other violent crimes. His experience has given him a unique insight and perspective into the way violence actually occurs on the street and what it takes to survive a deadly encounters. He has trained hundreds of members of the military, law enforcement and private sector on intelligence and security operations and is a contributor to The Counter Terrorist Magazine.
This range is a cold range. That means there is no handling of firearms in the parking lot or classroom is permitted. If you arrive with your handgun loaded for street carry, it must remain holstered. Do not handle any firearms until advised to do so by the instructor.
At the start of the course, you will be taken to the firing line and given instructions on how to make your firearm ready for training.
At the conclusion of the course, you will be given the opportunity render your firearm in your preferred state of carry before departing the range. Failure to obey firearms safety rules will result in immediate termination from the course and dismissal from the range.
